About Us

In January of 2018, while doing health assessments with student nurses at a poor orphanage in Haiti, I met a sweet little girl with a beautiful smile who changed my heart forever.  She had a filthy pair of flip-flops on her feet and as I looked closer I saw that the flip-flops were so worn that only the front part of each remained.

The children at the orphanage couldn’t wait to show us their dorm rooms, yet they were bare and dingy with no electricity and the toilets were not working.

I returned to the U.S. wanting to understand the plight of children in Haiti and to do something about it.  I had heard that an earthquake killed 300,000 people in Haiti in 2010, but I had no idea of the extent of the devastation.

This little orphanage of 20 children and a school of between 40- 100 children (depending on financial access) are run by a Haitian Christian minister and his wife.  They are loving and caring, yet they struggle constantly to provide for the children in their care.

We’ve also partnered with a Haitian educator (that I worked with on two visits to Haiti and who has a heart for poor families) to provide primary and secondary education for poor children as well as training for their parents in skills to use to acquire income to support their families.

This is why we partnered with them, and with your support, we can actualize our mission to serve these children in need. We are a 100% volunteer organization. Over 95% of all donations go directly to help marginalized children and families.

The information below shows the money that we’ve raised and the amount of money that has gone to support the orphanage and to provide free education for poor families in Haiti over the past two years. As a result of your support, we have been able to double our assistance in 2022. We hope to continue growing in 2023. Thank you to all of our generous supporters!
